Vivamente Voices
Vivamente Voices was established in 2013 in support of local charity Leaf. We started with just 11 members and are now a thriving 70-strong choir supporting many local good causes. We are thrilled to be celebrating our 10th anniversary and have some lovely events lined up to share with you, our valued supporters.

History of our choir
Vivamente Voices is an established choir based in Wimborne. Started in 2013 by local music teacher and musical director Sheila Dursley, the choir rehearse regularly throughout the year, putting on a number of concerts to raise money for local charities and the occasional flash mob!

In previous years the choir have competed in the Bournemouth Music Competitions Festival, coming class runners-up in 2013, finalists in 2016, winners of the Egbert Mudge Cup for musical theatre in 2018 and winner of both the Egbert Mudge Cup and the Bright Cup for Choral singing in 2019.

In March 2022, we competed in the New Milton Music Festival, winning the Bradbeers Trophy in the Adult Choir class and the Lush Signs trophy for Musical Theatre. More recently, we took part in the Bournemouth Music Competitions Festival, retaining the Bright Cup for choral singing.

Our repertoire is varied and includes 'classic' pop, songs from the shows, inspirational songs, some jazz and gospel. We strive for great singing whilst having fun!

We'd love to welcome you to our very friendly choir. Rehearsals are currently at St John's Church in Wimborne every Wednesday evening during term time. We meet at 7.15 pm for a 7.30 pm start and sing until 9.00 pm. Do get in touch via our contact page if you'd like to come along.
